Is called a type of longline gear used in artisanal fisheries. The bottom rests on the seabed. The pelagic longline fleet in surface or drifting in the sea.
Similarly to Espinel, which swivels attached to a main line, the line is formed by a floating element in the shape of a bull, which was swivels claim (usually a plastic thread) at the ends of which hang from hooks, with measures which vary according to the catch (fish) sought.
Exists in the world various types of longline fishing. Basically consists of one line, where the rig is composed of a series of low line with hooks attached to the main line, for this reason is one of the more selective fishing, as depending on the size, depth and fish bait one kind or another.
