From 1 to 5 November 2005, on the Demon Days Live Gorillaz tour gathered the collaborators of the album to act in live in Manchester. Neneh Cherry, Bootie Brown, De La Soul, Ike Turner, Roots Manuva, Martina Topley-Bird and Shaun Ryder, all of them repeated their live contributions, while Dennis Hopper, MF Doom and the Afro-Cuban singer Ibrahim Ferrer appeared virtually. They opened the awards ceremony BRITs 2006 with a choir of 100 children and acted in duo with a hologram of Madonna at the Grammy Awards, meanwhile, the character of unpleasant face that exercises bassist, Murdoc, found time to record an alternative Christmas speech, broadcast as HRH headed to the nation. There were even rumours about a film financed with money from Hollywood.
